PartyPoker.com has come up with a wonderful new idea that rewards its top tournament players. Its called the “Tournament Leader Board”. This great new idea allows for a new point system that will both show all who views it exactly who the tournament leaders are and it will award them a certain number of points (see the formula and explanation below) that will be able to be redeemed for very special rewards.
The staff at Party Pokerwants to make sure that their top tournament players are acknowledged for their excellence in the art of poker, and this new Tournament Leader Board is their way of both acknowledging these accomplishments and rewarding the players who earned them. The leader board will be in both weekly and monthly leader format, and as an added bonus, the Weekly Leader will be given (in addition to their tournament points) :

1). The opportunity to challenge other leader board winners to a Heads up tournament. This “Clash of the Titans” Heads-up Tournament is held every Sunday at 7 pm (ET), offers a winner-take-all $1,000 prize and the challenger ( that week’s leader board winner) has their choice of the following games : Limit Hold’em, No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Hold’em , and Omaha Hi/lo Pot Limit. The game will be played between the Top Player of the Week and the “Clash of the Titans” heads-up winner of the previous week and if these two players end up being the same person, the player ranked 2nd in the current week will go up against the Weekly Leader.

2). The weekly leader will also personal page at Party Poker

(Weekly Leader board will track each player’s points for all tournaments that they have played and completed in top 20% in a week (Sunday 00:00 hrs to Saturday 23:59 hrs ET).)

The Monthly Leaders also get a great opportunity in addition to their Leader Board Points. The players that are among the top 100 in the monthly leader board will have free entry to the $5000 Freeroll Tournament. Which is a $5,000 No Limit Hold’em game that is held on the 2nd of each month at 9:30 pm (ET) and played between the top 100 players on the Monthly Leader Board. And, the Top 10 Leader Board Players of each month will get a personal page for themselves at PartyPoker.com.

Now, on to more information about the Leader Board Points that can be earned. Leader Board Points will be awarded according to the formula shown below as it applies to the players in the top 20% of the field in a tournament.

Formula = 15* {SQRT (SQRT (B))*(–6)/R}
15 = Base Points
B = Buy-In of Tournament
N = # of Players in Tournament
R = Rank of Player in the Tournament

All Leader Board Points at Party Poker.com are updated every day at 6 am (ET) and will be displayed in a Weekly and Monthly Leader Board Format.
