Party Poker Tournaments Party Poker has several great tournaments to choose from. Some of them happen daily, weekly and some monthly, but all of them are well worth entering! They are great fun, and can prove VERY profitable! The first of the tournaments that we would like to tell you about is Party Poker’s $200K Guaranteed Saturday ($200 + $15). This tournament is held every Saturday night at 10 pm (EST) and it is a No Limit Texas Hold’em game. To qualify for this weekly tournament, you can play in any of the “$200K Saturday Qualifier” Tournaments that are held each day. Players interested in registering for the “$200K Saturday Qualifier” in order to play in the $200K Guaranteed Saturday Tournament, should be aware that you can now register up until 5 minutes before the “$200K Saturday Qualifier” begins. Also, any players who win these qualifying tournaments will be automatically registered for the $200K Guaranteed Saturday - $200 +$15 Tournament, and these entries can NOT be held over until the next week. Anyone who qualifies after the close of registration for that week’s Saturday tournament will be entered into the following week’s tournament. The next tournament that Party Poker has to offer is their new and improved STEPS Sit & Go Tournaments. They have recently introduced more options for this daily tournament; the tournament now includes Original STEPS, HIGHER STEPS and Mini STEPS. With the introduction of the new STEPS, you can either start off small by paying only $6 and possibly win $2,000 or you can take a big chance at the $150,000 prize pool! To introduce you to these new steps, and re-acquaint you with the Original STEPS, we have briefly summarized them all in the paragraphs below. Original STEPS are offered in both Multi-table and Single-table Sit & Go format and involve 5 STEPS. The Multi -Table STEPS tournaments are limited to 20 players and the STEPS flow as follows : STEP 1 - Ranks 1-4 move to STEP 2 and Ranks 5-20 Drop Out and have to begin again. STEP 2 - Ranks 1-4 move to STEP 3, Ranks 5 and 6 stay on STEP 2, Rank 7 gets $30 and Ranks 8-20 Drop Out. STEP 3 - Ranks 1-6 move to STEP 4, Ranks 7-9 stay on STEP , Ranks 10-11 go back to STEP 2, Rank 12 gets $35 and Ranks 13-20 Drop Out. STEP 4 - Ranks 1-8 move to STEP 5, Ranks 9-10 stay on STEP 4, Rank 11 goes back to STEP 3, Rank 12-14 goes back to STEP 2, Rank 15 gets $30 and Ranks 16-20 Drop Out STEP 5- Rank 1 wins $9,000 Rank 2 wins $5,000 Rank 3 wins $3,600 and Rank 4 Wins $2,400 The Single-Table STEPS are a little different and are set up as follows : STEP 1 - Ranks 1-2 move to STEP 2 and Ranks 3-10 Drop Out STEP 2 - Ranks 1-2 move to STEP 3, Rank 3 stays on STEP 2, Rank 4 goes back to STEP 2 and wins $3 and Ranks 5-10 Drop Out. STEP 3 - Ranks 1-3 move to STEP 4, Rank 4 stays on STEP 3, Ranks 5-7 move back to STEP 2, Rank 8 goes back to STEP 1 and wins $3 and Ranks 9-10 Drop Out STEP 4 - Ranks 1-4 move to STEP 5, Rank 5 stays on STEP 4, Ranks 6-8 go back to STEP 2 and Ranks 9-10 go back to STEP 1 and win $8 STEP 5 - Rank 1 wins $4,500 Rank 2 wins $2,500 Rank 3 wins $1,800 and Rank 4 wins $1,200 The new additions to the STEPS Tournament work similarly as far as the STEPs are concerned, the STEP HIGHER option offers you a 1 in 10 chance (once you reach the top level) of winning $100,000 and the Mini STEPS Tournament gives you the chance to ease into the tournaments with a $2,000 top prize.
