How to play Poker at Party Poker

Poker is one of the most popular games in the gambling industry today, just as it has been for hundreds of years. Whether you are new to the game or you have been playing for years it would help to know some of the rules of each game you are playing. One of the most popular games today is Texas Hold’em, and if you don’t know how to play properly, you will end up not only looking bad at the table but losing quite a bit of money. The game begins with the two players left of the dealer, they do what is called posting the blinds, the small blind, the first player to the left of the dealer puts up half of the minimum bet, and the big blind, the second player puts up the entire amount of the minimum bet. Posting blinds gives the pot something to play with even if nobody bets much. There are many parts to this game including when betting begins, the Flop, The Turn ( or Fourth Street), The River (or Fifth Street) and final betting where the winner is decided. In the beginning each player is dealt two cards face down, they look at those cards and decide how they would like to proceed. Then after betting, the Flop is laid out on the table, that is the first three community cards. These cards are used in conjunction with the cards in your hand, the object is to make your best five card poker hand. After you either bet or fold at this time, the River is laid out which is one additional community card, you bet again, and then there is a final betting round and the winner is decided by the best poker hand at the table.

Another popular game in all poker rooms is Omaha Hi, this is also a community card game, each player is dealt cards face down, in addition to the five community cards that are dealt face up in the middle of the table. The object of this game is to make two great five card poker hands by using two hole cards and three community cards. There are several different rounds in this game as well the Preflop, the Flop, the Turn, the River and the Showdown. The Preflop is where the blinds are placed, the player closest to the dealer on the left is the forced to place the small blind which is half of the minimum bet and the next player to the left is to make the big blind the total amount of the minimum bet. Now two cards are dealt to each player that is their personal hand. The game goes clockwise around the table and betting proceeds accordingly. After betting has gone around the table the Flop happens which is when three cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table, these are some of the community cards that you are able to use to make your best poker hand at the end of the game. Another round of betting now takes place and then the Turn is laid down which is the fourth community card, after this is done betting goes around the table again before the River is laid down. After the next round of betting the Showdown happens, this is when anybody who has not folded will have the option of showing their hand to win the pot.

Seven Card Stud is also a very popular game to play at any Poker room, it is a classic casino game that has been around for many years and isn’t going anywhere. When this game starts out, each player is dealt two cards face down and one face up, followed by the first round of betting, after that round of betting takes place there are three additional cards dealt face down to each player ( with another betting round after each card is dealt). One the final round of betting has taken place, each player shows their cards and the winning hand is decided by who has the best five card poker hand.

All of the games here are popular, and you need to know the rules before you start to play, the games are very easy to learn but the games take a lifetime to master.
